'Samantha Who?' Star Opens Up for the First Time About Her Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Actress Christina Applegate gives an exclusive interview to "Good Morning America" Tuesday, speaking out for the first time since publicly announcing her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this month.

Tune in to "Good Morning America" Tuesday, August 19 to catch Christina Applegate's exclusive interview with Robin Roberts.

Applegate's publicist announced Aug. 3 that the star had breast cancer and added that doctors caught the disease early through an MRI. The diagnosis is not life-threatening, publicist Ame Van Iden said in a statement.

Applegate, who rose to fame as the sexy, but dim-witted Kelly Bundy on "Married ... With Children," is scheduled to appear on a one-hour television special, "Stand Up To Cancer," which will air on ABC, CBS and NBC on Sept. 5 to raise funds for cancer research.
