a startling new story about Christian pastors mixing their faith with fighting taking part if aggressive cage matches against each other. They insist that faith and fighting go together. But not everyone agrees. ABC's Dan Harris has our story. Ladies and gentlemen, this is pastor versus pastor. Nice. We got to fight and we'll go to church tomorrow. Reporter: The new movie "Fight church" raises this unusual church. Can you love your neighbor as yourself and at the same tile knee him in the face as hard as you can? Reporter: It's a documentary about pastors who practice mixed martial arts with their parishioners. When Preston came up with the idea of having a fight club in the church, it was an easy thing to say yes to. Tough guys need Jesus too. Just a couple of god-fearing men punching each other in the pace. Reporter: As you might imagine this is extremely controversial. Jesus, after all, preached nonviolence turning the other cheek. Of which I'm a part, we love one another and this ain't love. Jesus never checked out. He finished what he came to do. Reporter: But pastor Paul Burris featured in the movie defends his unlikely evangelizing technique. We don't fight out of meanness. We have no hate or bitterness in our hearts. Reporter: Some of the biggest names are featured in the film. I wouldn't be in the position I am today if I wasn't a Christian. Mainstream christianity is new. Raise our boys to be men, these kind of problems go away. Reporter: Despite the critic, the pastors of "Fight church" stand by their mission. We've been able to reach and help an awful lot of people that never would have walked into a Normal church service but will come over and do fitness training with you or come over and do some jujitsu. Dan Harris, ABC news, new York. The documentary "Fight church" premieres April 24th at the independent film festival of Boston. I don't know what to think of. Jesus came -- Jesus would have came -- That's a corner man. I don't know.
