This morning, that young woman in the middle of it all is speaking and ABC's Matt Gutman is here with that story for us. Good morning, Matt. Reporter: Good morning, this is a story of puppy love and mad dog murder, of friendship between two teens and the girl both men loved but one of them was willing to do the unthinkable to get his girl back. A week after that sensational trial we were the first to speak to 20-year-old college student Erika friman, the woman at the center of it. The morning Christian Aguilar went missing two people showed up at the university of Florida police station in September of 2012, Erika friman, the hazel-eyed beauty Aguilar's current beauty and her ex-boyfriend, Pedro bravo. One thing that I remember thinking that was strange right when we came in I overheard a police officer saying, oh, this love triangle thing, you know, one of the boyfriends is missing. His movements caught on surveillance cameras, his thoughts captured in his journal. I am a monster for having hurt Chris the way I did. Reporter: He would dump his body in this wooded wasteland bound and bare B-- buried face down. He was considered missing until hunters found Aguilar's body. The jury didn't buy the story bravo tried to sell finding him guilty. The defendant is guilty of first degree murder, false imprefecturement, of poisoning as charged. Reporter: At Aguilar's memorial site his family wept with tears. The name of Christian is meant a gift from god. Reporter: A gift stripped not only from his loving family but from what have been the love of his life. I think we would have gotten married eventually. I used to tell him, the world could end right now and if I'm in your arms, I don't care. The aguilars are just now beginning to heal and Erika friman is moving on. Monday is the first day of classes at the university of Florida and while he'll spend the rest of his life in prison Pedro bravo, that killer takes with him to prison multiple mysteries, robin.
