One very happy family this morning. Yeah, switching gears. This family never gave up hope they would find their beloved dog who disappeared almost two years ago. And with good reason. This morning, she looks right at home. But this death-defying dog has been far from her owner's loving embrace for nearly two years. I'm sure the stories she could tell. Reporter: The Braun family was devastated after Murphy went missing in tahoe national forest in 2012. They posted fliers for two long winters, hanging on to hope, and now those prayers are answered. After hearing reports that a golden retriever had been seen wandering about 11 miles where they lost Murphy, they drove to the camp site with the blanket and Mr. Braun's hat. They set out the belongings, hoping the familiar scents night might bring it in. I knew that's Murphy. It was curled up with its head on the hat. Reporter: But Murphy's appearance changed after months in the wild. They feared it might not be their up. But there was a scar above her right elbow. It's very, very faint. Right there, you can see it. Reporter: And her telltale comfort with the family. It's truly her, unbelievable story. Reporter: Morgan was a baby when Murphy went missing. Her parents say this picture shows her telling Murphy they'll never lose her again. That's a promise. The tales that dog could tell, no pun intended. Murphy's home. Thank you.
