Ence he may have lied on the stand during the seven grueling days of testimony, as he tried to convince the judge that he did not murder his girlfriend. ABC's lama Hasan has all the latest. Good morning, lama. Reporter: Good morning to you, George. The Oscar Pistorius trial may be in recess. But the brutal attacks keep on coming. This is a potentially damaging allegation made, claiming that Pistorius was lying under oath. On the stand, prosecutor gerrie nel tried to trap Pistorius into inconsistencies -- You just started shooting. No. Incidentally, your fingers pulled the trigger. Reporter: After inconsistencies. If somebody were to say, you were respect. That person would be lying, am I right? That's right, my lady. You know who that person is? Because somebody said that. No, my lady. It's you. You said it. Reporter: A new report from South Africa may have uncovered yet another twist in this tale. Pistori Pistorius described to the court a 2009 boat crash which left him in a coma. He said he smashed into the peer. The vaal river runs from east-to-west. And we were heading back west. So, the sun was setting in front of us. And I could only see the sun on the water. Reporter: But eyewitnesses reportedly have told "The south african daily maverick," there was no sun because it was already dark. And the pier was not submerged. Reporter: Pistorius has pleaded not guilty to murdering his girlfriend, actress reeva steenka steenkamp, in his bathroom last year. "The daily maverick" report, just the latest attack on his character. Last week, accusations that he had taken acting lessons, with spokesperson adamantly denied. For weeks, we've seen him sobbing and retching in the dark. And the agonized wails on the stand, after being shown a graphic photo of reeva's shattered skull. If the judge believes he's faking it or acting, he's in big trouble. That would go to the heart of his credibility. Reporter: With Pistorius' credibility on the line, his defense team has a tough road ahead. When the trial reconvened on Monday, may 5th. They have a dozen witnesses to call to give evidence.
