This morning he's telling his story and only to us. Here's abc's clayton sandell. Reporter: This morning investigators want to know why this small plane suddenly fell from the sky, slamming into the side of this home just outside seattle. Miraculously missing teenager talon corn and a friend inside only feet away. I was sitting in my house and I hear a long bang and I'm like, thunder, I don't know why I was thinking thunder and I look outside and I look down and there's the wing right down below the window and I was right there too. I didn't realize how close I was to hitting to me. Reporter: The pilot identified by abc affiliate k komotv as jay wistala killed. His teenager nephew on board survived air lifted to the hospital. It sounded weird. It sounded -- it was loud. Reporter: The four-seat plane crashed through the garage door. But korn and his friend playing video games in a room above the garage escaped unharmed. I was, you know, kind of in a rush. I fotold my friend call 911 and i wanted to see if I could see anything. Reporter: Before impact witnesses say the plane's engine was sputtering the propeller had stopped. The ntsb and faa are now investigating. I feel very lucky because if that -- if it hadn't hit where it did and hit like ten feet up I would have been done. Reporter: A deadly crash so close to being much worse.
