This morning, we are hearing for the first time from a 7-year-old girl who displayed extraordinary bravery. Megan winter fell 50 feet to the bottom of a well despite serious injuries, she kept her wits and now she's telling her story from how she survived to the rescue effort that finally saved her and ABC's Reena ninan is here with more. Good morning. Good morning, guys. 7-year-old Megan was just doing what kids her age love to do. Playing outside but it took a frightening turn. A turn that almost cost her life. It was the scariest moment in 7-year-old's Megan winter's entire life. We were sitting on the ledge of the well, I went to go stand up, my hand slipped and I fell. Reporter: Plunging 50 feet down and trapped inside a narrow well that in her grandparents' well. She tried to break her fall. I was putting my hand against the well to stop myself from falling even deeper. But couldn't hold. She landed upside down. Her legs bent in the air unable to move. I was so scared. Her cousin tells her grandmother what happened and phones 911 desperate for help and trying to stay calm. I was just screaming, my baby's in a well. Will you please get my baby out? Reporter: There were moments she feared for her life. When she got quiet is when it scared me the most. When she would get quiet. Reporter: With broken legs, a broken arm and fractures on her face and skull she sat trapped inside that well for over an hour until heiress cue. A fireman named captain clay, he was the one that came down there and got me. Then they carried me up the well to get me out. Reporter: But heiress cue was hardly the end. Her mother said after spending near Aly a month in the hospital she had to relearn everything. They taught her how to do maintenance for herself and taught her how to brush her own teeth. Reporter: She hopes to return doing the things she loves, fashion designing, soccer and singing. ♪ I'm on my way to the countryside hey, hey, hey hey ♪ The family is -- isn't that great? I love it. She is hopeful that she'll return to playing soccer as early as this fall but heading the ball is off-limits for Megan but she is expect to make a full recovery. "American idol."
