— -- Question:Is it true that some exercises can help prevent asthma?

Answer: There are no specific exercises that truly prevent asthma. Unfortunately, asthma is not a preventable disease and it's not a curable disease, but it's certainly a controllable disease.

And although we can't truly prevent asthma with chronic or routine exercise, it has many beneficial effects. Routine exercises increase the respiratory or breathing capacity of patients with asthma; they increase the quality of life of patients with asthma and they may decrease the need for asthma medications.

So certainly, although routine exercise is not the magic bullet, routine exercise is very important and beneficial and it's highly recommended.
