Question: How effective is group therapy for the treatment of bipolar disorder in children/adolescents?
Answer: Well that's really not been very well explored in young people yet. But certainly as you could image, youngsters who suffer from this condition have a great deal of difficulty because of their mood states with other people, particularly their peers. And a group circumstance where the opportunity to learn from each others' experiences as well as to examine each other's interactions in the context of a group could be very important. However, again, not a lot of science, not a lot of studies, at least not yet.
