Some of the causes of nerve pain included nerve compression from disc herniation, spinal stenosis, peripheral nerve injury, metabolic diseases such as diabetes, lupus, multiple sclerosis, HIV, lead ingestion, vitamin deficiencies such as B-12, and complex regional pain syndrome. Medications can also cause nerve injury.
