Can Glaucoma Be Cured?

Question: Can glaucoma be cured?

Answer: Glaucoma cannot be cured. In fact, a lot of times people are afraid of going blind from glaucoma. But if you go and see your eye doctor and you try to follow the treatment plans, we believe that if we can lower the pressure enough, that your glaucoma can be stable. So it's important to follow the doctor's recommendations and to go in on a regular basis to see your doctor so that the optic nerve can be evaluated, your pressures could be checked, and your visual fields can be followed.
