What Things Should I Consider Before I Quit Work Due To Pain Disability?

Question: What Things Should I Consider Before I Quit Work Due To Disability From My Chronic Pain?

Dr. J.C. Gerancher answers the question: 'Quitting Work Due To Pain Disability?'

Answer: The first thing to remember is that work can be an important distraction from our medical problems including chronic pain. When chronic pain doctors see patients that aren't getting better, they're very often someone that has quit their job or is no longer able to work. Even if you need to quit your job, it is important that you develop other activities such as volunteering to keep yourself busy in the face of chronic pain.
