Question: What are some typical injuries that result from racquet sports such as tennis and racquetball, and what can I do to prevent them?

Answer: Common tennis injuries include shoulder injuries, low-back injuries and ankle sprains. Ways of preventing shoulder injuries in tennis include stretching out the back of your shoulder, working on stretching out that posterior capsule, oftentimes doing sleeper stretches 15 minutes every night can really protect your shoulder and maybe also protect your elbow. Low-back pain can be prevented by working on your core strength. Doing a lot of sit-ups and back extensions, and finally, having the right shoe wear can protect your ankles from getting multiple sprains.
