How Does The Amount I Sleep Affect My Athletic Performance?

Question: How does the amount I sleep affect my athletic performance?

Answer: Sleep is a very important part of athletic performance. Getting enough sleep during the day really helps you focus mentally. It helps you prepare for the tasks at hand. Probably more importantly, though, is sleep is where we get our benefits from our training. When we train during the day, we fatigue our body so it's very important that at night we get enough rest and recovery so that we can allow our body to adapt to that training.
