— -- Hello, my name is Dr. Charles Shapiro. Here at the Ohio State University Medical Center and Comprehensive Cancer Center, our priority is breast cancer survivorship.

We have a number of researchers engaged in clinical trials targeting lymphedema, cancer-related fatigue, bone health, and sexual issues of relevance to survivors. Today, most women diagnosed with breast cancer will be long-term survivors.

It is our priority to improve the quality of life -- and overall health status -- of these women. We have also been recognized as a Lance Armstrong Foundation Survivorship Center of Excellence, one of only seven in the country.

This center will enable us to continue to develop interventions and develop educational and supportive programs for our breast cancer survivors.
