How Can I Keep Myself Informed about the Latest Breast Cancer Research?

Question: How can I keep myself informed about the latest breast cancer research?

Carolyn Weaver, R.N., Clinical Nurse Specialist & Patient Education Coordinator

Answer: An excellent source of information regarding the latest research in breast cancer is the Cancer Information Service, which is from the National Cancer Institute. You may have heard of the number -- 1-800 -- the number 4, and the word CANCER (1-800-4-CANCER or 1-800-422-6237). And this number is staffed by health educators who have the latest information regarding breast cancer research. Also, if you'd like, you can go into the Internet -- to the National Cancer Institute web page to get further information.
