If I Choose A Watchful Waiting Approach, Will I Need Additional Biopsies In The Future?

Question: Do I need additional biopsies in the future?

Answer: Watchful waiting is an active surveillance management and very often in follow up of someone's cancer, if they do not proceed with treatment, watchful waiting would require close checks with PSA levels and often a biopsy. And that biopsy could be performed at six or 12 months after the initial diagnosis. There are different strategies for watchful waiting, and that would be something to determine with your treating urologist.
