British 'Superman' Saves the Day

— -- A British "Superman" saved the day after foiling an attempted cash machine robbery on Wednesday in Gloucester, South West England.
Antonio Cortes, 32, was wearing the superhero outfit for his work with the nonprofit Give A Smile UK, which raises funds for disabled children. In the UK, it is common for volunteers working for nonprofits to dress up and try to raise money in public areas.
While on a break with other volunteers, Cortes heard screams and tackled a man trying to mug a woman, the nonprofit said on its Facebook page.
The attempted robbery took place at a Co-Op Bank on Aldate Street in Gloucester, police confirmed in a statement. A 54-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Cortes was later interviewed by the BBC, describing how he wrestled the man to the ground until police arrived.
"I could see the woman was distressed and thought 'Something has to be done' so I just went with it," Cortes, said, before adding: "It's very rewarding - a good thing and I feel good for it definitely."
