— -- Ahead of North Korea’s Workers’ Party Congress -- the first such meeting in 36 years -- ABC News toured Pyongyang, the country’s capital city, through the perspective of a passenger looking out the car window.

The 360 video begins with the car passing under the Arch of Triumph on a gray and rainy day in the capital. The streets are desolate and the only sound is of the wind blowing past the car as the engine motor buzzes in the rain.

At Pyongyang Station, several buses and cars are parked on the side of the road with people waiting to board. The streets are still rather quiet, with music being softly heard in the distance over the sound of the rain.

The last part of the tour is Kim Il-sung Square, where a few people are walking with their umbrellas on the street as cars pass. The monochromatic buildings add a feeling of aloofness to the secretive nation.
