The defense in the Oscar Pistorius murder trial closed its case today, with final arguments scheduled for Aug. 7 and 8.
Today’s court proceedings in Pretoria, South Africa, took less than five minutes.
The state will hand in its final arguments to Judge Thokozile Masipa July 30, with the defense’s final arguments due Aug. 4.
Masipa ordered that no material from the prosecution or defense’s final arguments may be released or published before being presented to the court.
Pistorius, 27, is accused of murder in the 2013 shooting death of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The athlete has argued that he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder.
