Police wage war on drugs in the Philippines

Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Philippines, has declared a war on crime and drugs since entering office. At least 1,779 drug suspects have been killed, including 712 who were gunned down in clashes with police, National Police Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa said on Aug. 22, 2016.
