Stabbing in Germany Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Wounded, Authorities Say
The alleged attacker is in custody.
BERLIN — -- A stabbing at a German train station left one man dead and several wounded this morning, a spokesman for the state prosecutor confirmed to ABC News.
Police say a 27-year-old German man attacked four people with a knife at a train station 20 miles east of Munich.
One victim, a German man believed to be in his 50s, died after being stabbed several times in the back. The other victims, all men in their 40s and 50s, are being treated at a hospital, police said.
It's unclear whether the alleged attacker called out something before the attack, but authorities say they believe the suspect could have had political motivations.
The man is in custody and authorities are working to identify him.
Police say the train station will be closed today as they continue their investigation.
