— -- A cute video of a girl who's furious at the sun has gone viral.
Jamilah Lemieux, of Brooklyn, New York, shared the 30-second clip of her daughter Naima, also known as "Mini Milah," Friday on Twitter. It's been retweeted more than 18,000 times.
In the video, Naima can be heard telling her mom, "I want it to come back."
"He'll come back tomorrow," Lemieux said, trying to comfort her daughter, who quickly corrected her.
"No! It's a girl!" Naima insisted.
Lemieux then told her daughter, "She can't come back. The moon has to come out." And when that still didn't soothe little Naima, her mom asked her, "What about the other children in the other parts of the world? It's their turn to have the sun. We have to share the sun."
Naima is unmoved. "No! I don't want to share the sun!" she retorted, looking toward the sky.
Lemieux told ABC News that the incident happened after the two had dinner. "It was still daylight and by the time we got out, it was dark," she recalled. "And [Naima] commented on it...she was very upset for some reason on this particular day."
Lemieux, who is a the senior editor at Ebony magazine, said her daughter's story had a happy ending.
"The next morning, she woke me up and it was like 7 a.m. or 8 a.m," she explained. "I thought maybe we could sleep in on a Saturday for once but instead I hear, 'Mommy! The sun came back!'"
