— -- The American Kennel Club is officially welcoming two new breeds into its ranks.
The first is the American Hairless Terrier. Originally bred to hunt rats and other vermin, these pups are now known for excelling at dog sports. They’re also a hit among allergy sufferers.
The second breed making its debut is the Sloughi, also known as the Arabian greyhound. This reserved and noble dog is treasured for its speed, agility and excellent hunting skills.
As recognized breeds, they will now be able to compete at American Kennel Club events around the country.
We wish them a paws-itive future!
