— -- A home in California is in the Halloween spirit with a spook-tacular light display that attracts hundreds of viewers when it lights up.

The light display is the brainchild of Kevin Judd, of Riverside, California. Judd moved his light display from his home to friends' home in 2014 because it too proved too popular for his own neighborhood.

"When I came home at 5 p.m., it took me 30 minutes just to get up my street," Judd said of the years the display was on his home.

Judd started his extravagant Halloween decoration tradition in 2008 when he bought a light set to decorate for Christmas, but tried it out for Halloween first.

"I never got around to doing Christmas that year," Judd told ABC News. "And I haven’t since."

This year’s Halloween light display features the song "The Time Warp" from the movie "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." The 30-minute show, which includes eight songs in all, runs three times per night for four nights per week.

Judd, his wife, Amber, and their family and friends spend about two weeks before Halloween setting up the display. Amber Judd, according to her husband, also handles the extra duties of coordinating volunteers and traffic control around the home of the couple’s friends, Mark and Melanie Betty.

The city of Riverside closes down the street in front of the Bettys’ home for the four nights per week the light display runs. People come from near and far to see nearly 400,000 LEDs light up the home with pumpkin faces moving in sync with the music.

The Judds do not charge for the show, but do accept donations to benefit the Fire & Burn Foundation, a non-profit agency dedicated to reducing burn injuries and deaths, according to its website.

Despite the extravagant nature of the light display, Judd said it is not much of an added energy expense.

"Everything is LED so it uses very little power and we’re only running it 90 minutes four times per week," Judd said, adding that the Bettys’ home is solar-powered. "We calculated last year and it was like a whopping $1.50 extra for the month."
