— -- John Christian and his son, Connor, ain't afraid of no ghost -- especially now that they have a super epic homemade proton pack to fight them off.

The DIY project took only three days and $10 to build, but the father-son bonding time was priceless.

“He was in and out pitching in,” Christian, of Atlanta, told ABC News of the ghostly endeavor. “He wanted to do some of the soldering. He was helping here and there as we went along. At the time he was 11, so his attention span wasn’t quite there for an all-day build., but he’d go off and find materials so it was definitely a fun family effort.”

Although the duo created the impressive proton pack last year to sport at Dragon Con 2015 in Atlanta, they definitely plan to repurpose it tomorrow for the highly anticipated premiere of the new “Ghostbusters” reboot, starring Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy.

“The plan is to go tomorrow and costumes are on the docket,” said Christian. “It’s fun. I love premiere movie night crowds. Regardless of the franchise, opening night crowds are the best. They’re fun to be to be around.”

The thrifty dad built the entire ghost-fighting backpack using trash and miscellaneous items he found around the house, including toilet paper rolls and a Jiff peanut butter lid.

“The goal was to finish the project in one weekend, primarily use ‘free’ materials found around the house, create something that approximated the proton pack, and keep it light enough for my son to wear comfortably,” he wrote on his recent Reddit post, which has more than 120,000 views.

The only items he paid for were the paint and a dog bowl from a dollar store.

“The clock I already had,” he said. “That was the most expensive piece in it, if I was to buy it outright.”

The hardest part?

“Pushing forward,” Christian joked. “Not getting lost in the details. Watching the clock and saying it’s good enough, and keep pushing forward.”

The father-son “Ghostbusters” fans can’t wait to put their ghoulish getups to good use again.
