Deep Fry Candy Corn for a Truly American Halloween Treat

— -- Just when we thought the madness couldn’t be taken any further than deep-frying pumpkin spice lattes, Amy Erickson proves us wrong. This time the Oh Bite It! blogger behind the insane deep-fried tequila, Guinness and more is deep-frying everyone’s favorite Halloween treat: candy corn.
“I actually came up with this one last year when I was faced with mountains of leftover candy corn,” Erickson told ABC News. “The reaction has been quite controversial, but I feel like if I have to create controversy, thank god it's only with sugar and dough!”
Erickson takes three to four pieces of candy corn, wraps them in refrigerated crescent dough and fries them until they’re golden on all sides and oozing in the center.
Like she said, reaction to the decadent dessert has been mixed.
