Mother-In-Law Has Best Reaction Ever To Baby Announcement

When Matt and Danielle Whigham, both 37, decided to surprise Danielle’s mom with their big news, they never expected her reaction to be even bigger.

“She has a great personality but I was not expecting that reaction at all,” Matt Whigham, of Philadelphia, told ABC News. “I knew she was going to be excited and get up and hug Danielle but she completely lost it.”

To set up the surprise, the couple gave her a box with two bracelets, one pink and one blue, with a small charm that said “Number 1 Grandma.” She already has two grandchildren, and boy and a girl, from Danielle’s brother, so it just seemed like a sweet gift.

But then Danielle throws her mom a curveball when she says, “We will let you know which bracelet to attach it to when we find out which sex it is.”

“You’re pregnant! No sir! No way!,” the over-the-moon grandmother-to-be shouts in disbelief.

Matt and Danielle were only about eight weeks pregnant in the video which was before they wanted to share the news with the world, but since they were visiting her in Pittsburgh, they decided to spill the beans in person.

“Her reaction was fantastic,” said Matt.

The happy couple is due on January 25.
