Rapper Drake Spends $2.8M for Neighbor's Home
The rapper now owns two side-by-side properties in Hidden Hills, California.
— -- Drake "started from the bottom" and now he's got it so good that he purchased the property right next to his.
After spending $7.7 million in 2012 for a seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion in Hidden Hills, California, the "Hotline Bling" rapper purchased the property next door for $2.85 million in June, online real estate website Trulia announced this week.
Drake, who was born Aubrey Graham, joins other celebrities who have purchased neighboring properties, including Kylie Jenner, Joaquin Phoenix and Moby.
According to Trulia, the ranch-style home was built in 1955 on one acre. The 4,445-square-foot home has four bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Drake's new pad features a gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors, high ceilings and a secluded backyard with a swimming pool.
And in case one of his artists, such as The Weeknd or PARTYNEXTDOOR, want to crash for a few nights, Drake has an 800-square-foot guesthouse for them to enjoy.
