Researchers taught red-footed tortoises how to use a touchscreen device to retrieve strawberries -- and the result is phenomenal.

The study, published in the July issue of the Journal of Behavioural Processes by researchers out of the University of Lincoln in England, set out to investigate how well a tortoise could learn a spacial task when the response required was a simple touchscreen stimulus.

Spoiler alert: the tortoises passed with flying colors.

The results indicated that the four red tortoises tested were able to learn how to use the touchscreen and successfully solve a spatial two-choice task.
