— -- Dogs from around the globe will be in competition tonight for the title of world's ugliest dog at an annual contest in California.

The World's Ugliest Dog competition, held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California, honors homely hounds from all walks of life.

“We’re proud to celebrate all dogs and pets by showing that no matter their imperfections, they are adoptable, lovable and a great add to any family,” Erin Post, the CEO of the Sonoma-Marin Fair, said in a statement.

Among the competitors this year are Zsa-Zsa, a 7-year-old English bulldog rescued from a puppy mill, and Himisaboo, a dog whose hairstyle is drawing comparisons to presidential candidate Donald Trump.

In addition to the ugliest-dog prize, a spirit award will also be given to “a dog and owner who have overcome obstacles and/or are providing service to the community,” according to the competition’s organizers.

The contest will be judged by communications consultant Brian Sobel, former “Survivor” contestant Neal Gottlieb and ABC News’ weather anchor and meteorologist Indra Petersons.

In last year’s competition Quasi Modo, a short-spined dog from Loxahatchee, Florida, took home the title against 26 other entrants.
