Surveillance Video Catches Alleged Thief Dancing Away With Woman's Purse
Alleged thief busts a move at a Philly restaurant.
— -- Philadelphia police are looking for a man who showed off his dance moves after allegedly stealing a woman's purse at a restaurant.
The incident occurred on July 26 when the suspect and a female companion were caught on camera entering the Entree BYOB restaurant on 1608 South St. in Philadelphia.
Authorities posted the surveillance video on YouTube Friday.
As the female companion was in the restroom, the suspect appears to grab the purse from a seating area, and then leaves the restaurant —- but not before casually dancing his way out.
Later, the female companion emerges from the restroom and is seen running.
The male suspect has a tattoo on the back of his neck and on his right calf.
Police are asking the public for information on the suspect, the companion or the incident. They are asked to call 215-686-TIPS or email tips@phillypolice.com.
