Obama in California, Romney in Texas, plus more to watch for Wednesday in politics

— -- President Barack Obama heads to California on Wednesday. He'll deliver remarks at the LGBT Leadership Council 2012 Gala in Beverly Hills and then head to the home of "Glee'"creator Ryan Murphy for a fundraiser. Pink will perform at the gala.

Mitt Romney campaigns in the GOP-safe state of Texas where he has a tele-town hall with members of the National Federation of Independent Business Members and an event with United Services Automobile Association in San Antonio.

Also worth noting: First lady Michelle Obama will attend a New York fundraiser, and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, who won the recall election Tuesday, holds a cabinet meeting.

Speaking of Walker, expect a lot of analysis and spin and talk Wednesday about what his victory means — for the tea party, for the November presidential election, for big labor.

And then there is this: Wednesday marks five months until voters go to the polls to decide between Obama and Romney.
