Stolen Biden U-Haul Truck Recovered
Police have recovered a truck carrying Vice President Joe Biden's campaign gear.
DETROIT Sept. 3, 2012 -- The stolen U-Haul truck holding equipment for one of Vice President Joe Biden's events was recovered in Detroit today, but some if its contents are missing.
The truck was found outside an apartment near Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, U.S. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan told ABC News. But some of the contents, which they will not describe, were missing from the recovered truck.
"Some of our property was there, but not all," Donovan said. "We are still assessing."
The U-Haul truck was stolen from outside a Westin Hotel in Detroit between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, but Biden's speech at the AFL-CIO Labor Day rally in downtown Detroit continued as planned without the equipment.
