Supreme Court ruling on health care still hot topic, plus more to watch for this weekend in politics

Reaction, analysis and spin to the Supreme Court ruling on health care reform is certain to continue Friday and right through the weekend — including, no doubt, the Sunday talk shows. For starters, there are panel discussions Friday at the Heritage Foundation on "The Plaintiffs' Perspective" and "What the Ruling Means," and over at the National Press Club there will be another group of panelists drilling into the decision.

President Barack Obama flies to Colorado Springs, Colo., on Friday to view damage caused by massive wildfires. Tens of thousands have been forced to evacuate, one person has died and an estimated 346 homes destroyed, making it the most destructive fire in Colorado's history, officials said Thursday.

Mitt Romney wraps up a fundraising swing through Connecticut, New Jersey and New York on Friday.

Also worth noting: Rudy Giuliani will be in Las Vegas on Friday campaigning for Romney; GOP Sen. Marco Rubio begins a tour Saturday in his home state of Florida to promote his book, "An American Son: A Memoir;" and Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz will be in Iowa on Sunday to campaign for Obama.

And then there is this: On Capitol Hill , the House and Senate are set to vote on a massive package that includes keeping the interest rate on federally subsidized student loans at 3.4 percent. The rate was scheduled to jump to 6.8 percent on Sunday. After the vote, Congress leaves town for a weeklong July 4 recess.
