— -- President Barack Obama heads to the battleground state of Florida on Thursday for four campaign events, and Vice President Joe Biden campaigns in Ohio, another battleground state.

Obama is expected to talk about cutting taxes for the middle class, and Biden is expected to talk about manufacturing. Both, however, just might lace their speeches with references to Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain, his personal finances and his tax returns.

Speaking of Romney, he has no public events on his Thursday schedule. Ann Romney, however, will be campaigning in North Carolina.

Also worth noting on Thursday: First lady Michelle Obama will host a fundraiser and roundtable with the LGBT Leadership Council, and Vice President Biden's son Beau will campaign in Iowa for Obama.

And then there is this: George McGovern, the Democratic presidential nominee in 1972, turns 90 on Thursday.
