Donald Trump Calls Mitt Romney a 'Failed Candidate'
Trump responded to Romney's upcoming speech on GMA this morning.
— -- Donald Trump slammed Mitt Romney this morning in response to the former GOP presidential nominee’s speech later today in which he’s expected to call Trump a "phony, a fraud."
"Mitt Romney was a failed candidate; should have beaten Barack Obama easily," Trump today told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America.”
Romney is set address the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah later this morning.
"I brought millions of millions people into the Republican Party over the last very short period of time,” Trump said. “It's the biggest story in politics, how many people are flocking into the Republican Party.
“They're leaving the Democrats. They're leaving the independents. They're no longer independent. And they're with me 100 percent.
"There's great enthusiasm in the Republican Party except in the establishment,” Trump argued.
Trump also said that he's "absolutely ready" for FOX News host Megyn Kelly in the GOP debate tonight in Detroit.
