Florida Congresswoman Plans to Write in Jeb Bush for President
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen plans not to support Donald Trump.
— -- Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., is planning to vote for a Republican for president in November -- but it won't be Donald Trump.
"I think I'll write in the name Jeb Bush," she said in a meeting with the Miami Herald editorial board Tuesday.
"A candidate should espouse optimism."
The Florida Republican, who has criticized Trump's campaign, had previously endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's campaign, along with Sen. Marco Rubio.
She's one of a growing group of congressional Republicans planning to vote for someone in November other than the GOP nominee.
Reps. Scott Rigell of Virginia and Richard Hanna of New York are planning to vote for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Hillary Clinton, respectively.
Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, ruled out voting for Trump in an op-Ed in the Washington Post Tuesday.
