Pouf, It's Gone: Melania Trump's $2,200 RNC Dress Sells Out
The cotton silk off-white dress sold out within hours of her speech.
— -- Style-savvy Melania Trump strikes again.
The Slovenian-born former model inspired so many women to snap up the $2,190 dress she wore during her speech Monday night at the RNC in Cleveland, that the retailer sold out of the stunner within hours of her appearance.
The wife of presumptive GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, Melania bought the dress -- a cotton silk off-white dress from Serbian-born, London-based designer Roksanda Ilinic's Roksanda label -- from online retailer Net-a-porter, according to "Women's Wear Daily." Roksanda's pieces have been worn by Kate Middleton, Emma Stone, and Olivia Wilde.
But Melania did customize the dress, which the designer calls the "Margot," choosing to add chiffon poufs.
According to Net-a-porter, Melania chose the stunner without the help of a stylist.
Melania's love of fashion is apparent: From her days as a globe-trotting model, to the stunning Christian Dior by John Galliano wedding gown she wore when she married Donald, to her QVC jewelry and watch collection, style is an important aspect in her life.
