Teddy Davis

Teddy Davis is ABC News' Deputy Political Director. He is responsible for helping to plan the network's political coverage on "World News with Diane Sawyer," "Good Morning America," "Nightline," "This Week," and ABCNEWS.com.

He also provides on-camera analysis for ABC News' digital cable station, ABC News Now, and writes stories for ABCNEWS.com.

Since joining ABC News, Davis has covered the re-election of President George W. Bush, the Democratic takeover of Congress and the election of President Barack Obama.

His current reporting assignments include the politics of Obama's agenda, the 2010 mid-term elections and the early maneuvering among Republicans for the GOP's 2012 presidential nomination.

Over the years, Davis has questioned top newsmakers including Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, Al Gore, Newt Gingrich, Joe Biden, Mitt Romney, Howard Dean, and Colin Powell.

Davis earned a bachelor's of science degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a law degree from The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law.

Prior to starting law school, he served as Communications Aide and Special Assistant to the Governor of California.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Davis belongs to the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

He and his wife, Emily Turner Davis, live in Washington, D.C.
