“Nightline” Outperforms CBS in All Three Key Demos: Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

Season to Date “Nightline” Leads CBS Across the Board

ABC News’ “Nightline” averaged 1.543 million Total Viewers, 596,000 Adults 25-54 and 456,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of February 8, 2016, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” beat CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (1.371 million, 521,000 and 401,000, respectively) across the board: Total Viewers (+172,000), Adults 25-54 (+75,000), and Adults 18-49 (+55,000).

For the 3rd week in a row, “Nightline” was up over the previous week in Adults 18-49 (+2% - 456,000 vs. 445,000 for w/o 2/1/16), hitting a 4-week high – since w/o 1/11/16.

“Nightline” had the No. 1 telecast of the week with its Friday airing (2/12/16) in both Total Viewers (1.879 million) and Adults 25-54 (758,000), beating every telecast of the week of CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Season to date, “Nightline” leads CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” across the board: Total Viewers (+322,000), Adults 25-54 (+110,000) and Adults 18-49 (+58,000).

ABC News’ “Nightline” is anchored by Dan Harris, Juju Chang and Byron Pitts. Roxanna Sherwood is executive producer, and Steven Baker is senior broadcast producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:05 a.m. EST on the ABC Television Network.
