text: When the agenda for the British Royals' visit to New York was announced, a visit to the Barclays Center for a Nets basketball game got star gazers particularly excited.

Not only would they catch a glimpse of Prince William and his wife Kate, but that came on top of the likely run-in with Jay Z and Beyonce since the music superstars are regulars at games.

Lucky for fans, the meeting of minds -- which internet commentators described as "our royals meeting theirs"-- did happen and the couples were spotted introducing themselves and chatting briefly.

title: McCain Defends Torture Report

text: Unlike many Republicans who blasted the Senate report on the CIA's use of torture against terror detainees, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., defended the decision to release the information and decried the ways interrogators abused prisoners.

McCain, who was tortured as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War, said that it was appropriate to evaluate how CIA operatives behaved.

"We gave up much in the expectation that torture would make us safer," he said in a Senate speech Tuesday. "Too much."

"This question isn't about our enemies. It's about us. It's about who we were, who we are and who we aspire to be. It's about how we represent ourselves to the world," he said.
