Brazil defeated Chile in a penalty shootout today in the Round of 16 at the 2014 World Cup. The final Chilean penalty kick rang off the post as the hosts advanced to the quarterfinals.

In a later game, Colombia knocked out a Luis Suarez-less Uruguay, 2-0. The star striker was suspended for nine games and four months after biting Italian Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's final group match.
