Bill Russell OK after collapse

— -- Basketball legend Bill Russell collapsed while giving a speech in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, on Thursday, the Boston Celtics have confirmed.

Russell, 80, left the event on a stretcher and was taken to a hospital after feeling faint, according to the Celtcs.

The Hall of Fame center is feeling better and is expected to fly back to his Seattle-area home as early Thursday night.

Russell was recently at the NBA Finals, awarding the trophy in his name [given to the Finals MVP] following Game 5 in San Antonio.
