— -- President Barack Obama isn't swayed by the Golden State Warriors' rocky opening to the 2016-2017 season, as he envisions them making a return trip to the NBA Finals and this time emerging victorious.

Obama made his championships pick during a Friday interview on "Sway in the Morning" on Eminem's SiriusXM channel Shade 45.

"I'm going to go with the Warriors just because of [Kevin] Durant, that addition. I think they just have too much firepower," Obama said. "Although they just got spanked in their first game, so it will take a while to figure things out."

The Warriors lost to the San Antonio Spurs?129-100 in Tuesday's season opener at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. The Warriors were 39-2 at home last year in the regular season.

Meanwhile, Obama has been impressed with the New England Patriots -- and not much else -- in the 2016 NFL season.

Asked his Super Bowl prediction on the program, he said, "At this point, you'd have to put your money on [Tom] Brady again. I don't see any real strong teams. Seattle and Patriots have a rematch [from the 2014 season]. That's my call."
