— -- GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Sisters Monique and Jocelyn Lamoureux scored to help the United States women's hockey team beat Canada 4-1 on Friday night in a pre-Olympic exhibition game.

Brianna Decker and Hilary Knight also scored for the Americans in the game that ended with the penalty boxes overflowing after a brawl broke out in the game's final minute.

"[A Canadian] took a cheap shot, hit one of our girls in the head with her elbow," U.S. forward Hilary Knight said on NBC Sports Network. "We don't like that."

Caroline Ouellette scored for Canada.

Kevin Dineen, fired last month as coach of the NHL's Florida Panthers, directed the Canadian team for the first time after taking over for Dan Church.

Church resigned Dec. 12, hours before the two teams met in Calgary, Alberta, saying he felt others lacked confidence in his ability to lead the country to a fourth consecutive gold medal.
