Apple Street View Cars Ready to Hit the Road
Apple's fleet of vehicles will begin work next week in several countries.

Apple is sending out its own fleet of mapping vehicles to various cities in the United States, United Kingdom and Ireland.
The vehicles will hit the road from June 15 to June 30 to "collect data which will be used to improve Apple Maps," according to a notice posted on Apple's website.
"We are committed to protecting your privacy while collecting this data," the notice said. "For example, we will blur faces and license plates on collected images prior to publication."
While it's unclear when the new changes could be implemented, Apple announced at its Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday that its Maps app would be beefed up in iOS 9 to include detailed public transit information.
The potential addition of street view imagery would be a new direction for Apple Maps.
Google has long operated fleet of cars, which have traversed roads around the world collecting information for the search giant's mapping service.
Aside from the typical scenery, along the way the cars have captured moments including someone's now deceased grandmother reading the newspaper on her porch to a person in Scotland wearing a horse mask.
