  • Capybara, The World's Largest Rodent

    A capybara, the world's largest species of rodent, was seen from a distance at a wastewater treatment plant in Paso Robles, Calif. It was the first sighting in the area in three years, and since capybaras are native to South America, California wildlife officials said the previous sighting was probably of the same animal.
