Strange New World: Picks of the Week

Fuel for Love: Cool London Fuel Cell Show

Think the Prius is sexy? Do you see red when people are not "green?" Then do we have the tech show for you: Next week in jolly old London, the Grove Fuel Symposium kicks off, showcasing the hottest trends in green transportation. On display will be cars like the Morgan Life Car, which runs on a proton membrane exchange fuel cell and looks like something you'd find in a car dealership from the movie "Gattica."

You'll also find the Microcab, a fuel-cell powered cab that could become a form of local transportation. It was developed by the lads at Coventry University in the United Kingdom. (When were were in school, college kids built stuff out of milk crates and beer cans; times have changed).

And all you bikers out there, don't think you can't go green, too. A company called Vectrix has built a sweet electric maxiscooter or motorbike, for the eco-conscious Hell's Angel.

Finally, there will be a new meaning to the old biker's creed: "Live to Ride. Ride to Live."

Jonathan Blum and Dan Evans co-host "Strange New World," a weekly syndicated radio show. Blum hosts the blog Blumsday.com and Evans is a features editor at PC Magazine.
