— -- Nintendo has impeccable timing.

Sunday, Uggie, the cute Jack Russell terrier from the Oscar-winning film The Artist, was all over the Academy Awards.

Tuesday, the canine showed up to work at the offices of Nintendo's public relations firm, Golin Harris, to begin his first day as Nintendo's new "spokesdog."

The job isn't much. Some posing for photographs, appearances in videos and responding on cue to owner/trainer Omar Von Muller in exchange for doggie treats.

Nintendo invited USA TODAY to visit with Uggie Tuesday for an "interview" that would have us ask the questions, and Uggie respond with tricks. After the Oscars and all the TV appearances (Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen,) he seemed a little beat, but the trooper he is, he gave us lots of good barks. He also ran on cue, when asked to name his favorite game, to retrieve a copy (with his teeth) of the game Nintendo wants him to plug, Nintendogs + Cats, for the Nintendo 3DS system.

Watch our video interview and you'll notice something Talking Your Tech doesn't share in common with a silent movie. In The Artist, because there was hardly any dialogue, you didn't hear Von Muller calling out commands to Uggie. Here you will.
